“All that I am I owe to my mother.”
My mom is very funny, with a slightly bratty sense of humor. She’s the type of person who tricks everybody on April Fool’s Day. You know it’s coming, but as much as you think you’ll be prepared – she’ll still get you. But, undoubtedly, I do owe a lot to my mom.
The preacher Joel Osteen talks about how the best gift you can give someone is your presence. As my parents get older, this has become even more important to me. In today’s gadget-ruled world, giving someone your undivided attention is unparalleled. But if you can’t be there in person (or even if you can!) you can’t go wrong with a token of affection. Here are some fun gift ideas for Mom on Mother’s Day that are eco-friendly and cruelty-free.
I like the Air Plant Shop because they only work with suppliers who are certified in their respective states or countries to export air plants that are sustainably harvested.
Air plants, or Tillandsia, are a genus of 730 species of perennial flowering plants that are native to the forests, mountains, and deserts of Central and South America, as well as the southern United States and the West Indies. (Wikipedia)
You can send your mom air plants in their own terrarium, or you can send her the individual plants along with a fun terrarium kit.
