FOUNDER & CEO
Kristen Stanton is the founder and CEO of UniGuide. As a lifelong animal lover and a person who feels deeply connected to life on Earth, she started UniGuide to educate herself and to help others discover alternative ways of thinking and consuming that have a less harmful impact on human health, animals, and the environment.
Prior to and during the creation of UniGuide, she has also been an independent marketing consultant. A recent client is Niantic, Inc., the developer of the mobile augmented reality games Pokémon GO, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, and Ingress. Another is Clean Economy, an early stage company founded by her brother Patrick that installs electric vehicle charging stations.
Kristen has also served as a marketing and business development executive for other technology and digital media companies, many of which have been in the automotive industry, including ADP Dealer Services and Edmunds.com. In addition, she was the director of marketing for Picarro, Inc., a provider of scientific instruments and software solutions that measure greenhouse gas concentrations, trace gases, and stable isotopes for a broad array of scientific applications.
An avid supporter of environmental initiatives, Kristen served as the marketing and grants chair for the Cleantech Open, a nonprofit accelerator for cleantech startups. She earned her BAs in geography in environmental studies and English from San Francisco State University, and her MBA in marketing from the University of San Francisco.
