Matthew D. Moran

Matthew D. Moran is a professor of biology at Hendrix College. With a background in field ecology, he has studied and published his research on grassland ecology, predator-prey interactions, plant-animal interactions, and insect ecology. His applied research focuses on land-use and, in particular, how energy development is impacting and fragmenting landscapes. He has been a professor at Hendrix College for 22 years where he teaches ecology and evolution, field ecology, zoology, and natural history. He has also taught interdisciplinary courses for first-year students that focus on human philosophy and history.
